Welcome to Playdays Out of School Club, a wraparound care setting situated in the picturesque town, Buxton, Derbyshire and part of Green Lane Nursery Ltd offering wraparound care for lots of local families.

For a relaxing start to the day, Playdays runs a Breakfast Club at both Harpur Hill Primary School and Buxton Infant School, offering children a selection of healthy breakfast choices, free play indoor and out, organised craft activities and the ability to socially interact with their peers before starting their school day.

Our After School Club provides a welcoming space for children to relax and unwind in after a busy day at school. Playdays is based at Buxton Infant School with a pick-up service for children who attend Buxton Juniors School, Burbage Primary School and Harpur Hill Primary School. At After School Club, children are free to play with their friends indoor or outdoor, take in organised games and craft activities, get involved in different sports games or simply relax and chill until you collect them.
At Playdays, everything we do revolves around the children and their wellbeing, and we strongly believe that every child deserves to be happy, healthy, active and included so that they can thrive.
Playday’s has a team of highly motivated practitioners who put their all into providing a safe, creative space for the children and who understand the level of trust that families place on us when choosing a childcare provider. Our dedicated team are all DBS checked, hold childcare qualifications and have a paediatric first aid certificate.
Holiday Club
Playdays Holiday Club runs each half term (except over the Christmas period) and is open on the Derbyshire INSET days. It is based at Buxton Infant School and offers an exciting and fun filled programme of age-appropriate activities and outings. This includes trips out, sports, themed craft, archery, canoeing, baking, and much more. Our three minibuses allow us to take the children on trips out to Chatsworth, Thornbridge Gardens, Markeaton Park, Tittesworth and many other intriguing places.
Holiday Club is available to children aged 4 to 13 years old and children may start with us from the summer of the year they will start school. Care is provided from 8am until 5pm. Age groups are split into Infants and Juniors. A more adventurous programme is offered for the Juniors group, including canoeing, kayaking, climbing, rock scrambling, and archery.
Please note, all Outdoor Pursuits activities are run by Andy O’Connor who is a qualified instructor, working to National Governing Body guidelines. All personal protective clothing will be supplied where applicable.
